LACES stands for 'Looking Ahead: Careers and Employability' Scheme.
It supports young people aged 16-21, who are, or have been, in care, by helping them to find planned work placements for seven hours a week.
What are the benefits?
- You can gain experience.
- You can learn new skills.
- You can develop self-confidence.
- You can meet new people.
- You can gain formal qualifications.
If you're interested in being involved with the LACES scheme, you'll receive great support. A member of the team will get in touch with you, find out what you're interested in, and get in touch with your carer or support worker to get a professional statement.
